Business After Five (BA5)
The monthly Business After Five (BA5) is a Chamber of Commerce event organized by the Ambassadors Club.  It is designed to give Chamber Members and their employees a chance to network with other Chamber Members.  It takes place once a month on the second Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
How do I get on the schedule to host a BA5?
 Call the Chamber at 362-3541 to see if the month that you want is available.  If it is, and you are a Chamber Member, you can host one.
What are my responsibilities as host?

1)     Invitations.  The Chamber of Commerce will provide you with mailing labels with the names of approximately 170 Chamber Members.  Feel free to add any other people you want to, such as Board Members, favorite customers, or relatives.  Include on your invitation that “Chamber Members and guests are invited.  Please share this notice with your employees”.  Send these out at least ten days in advance of your event.

2)     Provide refreshments.  Generally, the host provides some snack-type foods to eat.  You can be as simple or elaborate as your budget or time allows.  Refreshments generally include soft drinks, punch, beer, wine, etc.  There is NO requirement that alcohol be served.

3)      Provide a registration table.

4)     Optional:  provide door prizes.

What does the Chamber do?
Chamber staff or an Ambassador will arrive shortly before 5 PM to help set up a registration table. We will provide the nametags and registration slips.  We conduct a “Dollar and a Business Card” drawing each month, which is designed to encourage people to attend regularly.  At 6PM, the Chamber/Ambassadors will start a short program.  You can give a commercial for your business at that time, and thank everyone for coming.  The Ambassadors will conduct the drawing (s) and conclude the program.  The event ends at 7 PM.

         Why host?

                  This event presents an excellent opportunity to expose your business to other business people in your            
                  community.  Take advantage of it as much as possible.   Hand out printed material about your business, if
                   available.
