High School
Dedicated to promoting an equal opportunity for a quality public education for its students. The district educates approx. 1,380 students PreK-12th Grade, employing about 225 full-time staff.
The district has 3 attendance centers:
Demoney Elementary: PreK – 4th
Middle School: 5th – 8th
High School: 9th – 12th
An addition and renovation was completed at the Demoney Elementary site so that it now houses all students in grades PreK - 4th grade. Renovations and remodeling was completed on the High School in 2008. The Middle School is a new facility, completed in 2009 and is connected to the High School on the west side. All buildings are housed on the same campus.
The Estherville Lincoln Central Community School District employees are dedicated personnel striving to prepare students for critical thinking and problem solving in the workplace, to discover and nurture creative talent and to prepare them to meet and cope with social change in an environment conducive to establishing lifelong learning practices.

Iowa Lakes Community College
Located in the picturesque Iowa Great Lakes Region, Iowa Lakes offers several locations throughout a five-county service area, Algona, Emmetsburg, Estherville, Spencer and Spirit Lake.
One of Iowa’s premier community colleges, the faculty and staff at Iowa Lakes recognize learning is lifelong. Continuing education is an emphasis of the college. General interest courses are available to adults and older learners.
Buena Vista University
BVU's Lakes and Prairies locations are located at Iowa Lakes Community College's campuses in Emmetsburg, Estherville, Spencer and Spirit Lake. We offer many majors and secondary education endorsements in a variety of flexible formats. Our staff is here to help you structure a program that will fit your lifestyle and financial situation, and meet your personal goals.
