FLIGHT BREAKFAST
Start your 4th of July celebration at the annual Flight Breakfast at the Estherville Airport from 7am–11am! Enjoy delicious pancakes, sausages, and eggs cooked fresh by local volunteers right in front of you. Families can look forward to fun activities for kids, exciting plane rides, cool airplanes, classic cars, and fire equipment on display. It’s a fun-filled morning and a great way to kick off your Independence Day holiday in Estherville!
SWEET CORN DAYS
Sweet Corn Days is Estherville’s biggest event of the year — a four-day celebration filled with entertainment, great food, family fun, live music, special events, and so much more! From Thursday through Sunday on the first weekend in August, the community comes together for an unforgettable weekend full of excitement and hometown spirit. Come experience one of Estherville’s favorite summer traditions!
DOWNTOWN MARKET
The Estherville Downtown Market is the perfect place to shop local and enjoy a summer evening in downtown Estherville! Browse a variety of homemade crafts, baked goods, fresh produce, unique finds, and more from local vendors each week. Join us Thursdays from 4:30pm–6:30pm at Library Square,
mid-June through the end of September!
FRIGHT HIKE
Fright Hike is a one-of-a-kind Halloween tradition held annually in Fort Defiance State Park on the Saturday two weeks before Halloween. This haunted hike through the woods offers a spooky, fun experience for all ages as you make your way along the trail. At just $10 per person, it’s a unique and memorable way to enjoy the season and experience a haunted adventure you won’t find anywhere else in Northwest Iowa!
HOLIDAY IN THE VILLE
Holiday in the Ville kicks off the holiday season in Estherville every year on the Thursday before Thanksgiving, bringing a festive and magical evening for the whole family.
Enjoy a night filled with holiday spirit, beginning with the Chocolate Walk featuring sweet treats and local shopping, along with horse-drawn wagon rides around the square. The Parade of Lights brings downtown to life with glowing floats, followed by a special visit with Santa at Library Square and the lighting of the community Christmas tree.
The celebration continues the following Thursday after Thanksgiving with TUBACHRISTMAS, where tubas and carolers from across the area come together to fill the air with classic holiday music and festive cheer in a truly unique musical tradition.
SIP THE VILLE
Sip, sample, and shop your way through Estherville at Sip the Ville — a fun and lively wine stroll held each fall!
It’s the perfect evening to explore local businesses, enjoy time with friends, and experience Estherville in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Sip the Ville is always a favorite fall tradition and a great night out in the heart of the community!
