Dave Spurgin Park: ball diamonds, tennis courts (with lights), walking trail, soccer field and skatepark.
Joe Hoye Park - West North 2nd Street & West 5th Ave. North: Disc golf, picnicking, play equipment, restrooms, shelter house, and sledding.
Lincoln Park - children's playground
Mickelson Park - West 1st Street South: Rock Garden, picnicking, play equipment, Ninja Park, Des Moines River, fishing
North Riverside Park - West 1st Street North: historic sight, ice-skating, play equipment, restrooms, Des Moines River, fishing
Thoreson Park - 6th Avenue North & North 15th Street: ball diamonds, picnicking, play equipment, restrooms, shelter house, sand volleyball, basketball, pavilion
